The Impacts of Covid-19 on Students.

Being a teacher, I want to share my experience on the Covid-19 Lockdown and Unlock for student’s life. So I am going to explain the students have advantages and disadvantages in this coronavirus time. The student goes to school for the


development of skills, this is the best public policy tool. While school time can be fun and can raise social skills and social awareness, the primary point of being in school is that it increases a child’s ability. The student missed school for a short time, which will have an effect on skill growth. But can we estimate how much the COVID-19 interruption will affect learning? 
When the government declares that there was a lockdown all over India,  all the schools and colleges will be closed due to the COVID - 19 virus, the students had very pleased. They had planned for tomorrow.  They were enjoying all the day playing games, watching movies right from morning tonight. Sometimes they were boring and waiting for a chance to go outside to meet their friends. But there was no way to move outside as the police are patrolling on the way. Still, things are not settled to meet friends and relatives. Waiting for unlocking situations to meet friends and relatives. 


Then the Government had decided to take the online class due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Slowly they were taking online classes after some time in the lockdown


period onwards. Initially, The students felt better in online classes. Where there was a complete change in the situation of the class’s atmosphere. After a month  I came to know that there are lots of disadvantages and advantages to this type of education. 

Finally came to know that this virus is not a blessing to students but a foreshadow of the student’s further life to adjust the Online mode of education. The shift in teaching is totally different from my teaching career. I was teaching for the first time in front of a camera without students. I was also



feeling uncomfortable and saw on the screen that the students were moving from here to there at their home. Sometimes I feel they were staying in another world in the lockdown period.

Let's describe a few of the advantages and disadvantages of the Covid-19 pandemic.


ADVANTAGES:


There are some advantages for the students ;


They are spending time in the house with the complete family by not going out and enjoy watch movies and do some craftwork. 


They were watching a movie/serials along with the family and enjoying it can only happen now at this time. 


In the Covid-19 Pandemic period, students had used their quality time in studying and the other activities in which they are interested. 



They got more time to talk with the relatives through the phone and call them and talk with builds more family relations.


They Spent time with parents and explained career planning views and brainstorm them for stepping towards the proper feature path.


They were getting more time for self-study if we use it in the proper way to avoid watching movies and playing mobile games.


DISADVANTAGES

There are so many disadvantages for the students ;


The adoption rate is around 50-60% in online classes, whereas in the classroom was around 80-90%.

 

Lots of poor students do not have access to laptops and


computers and android phones; so they are relieved from an online class.


Due to poor network in rural and hilly areas, Online class was hampered.


Online classes affect the eyes of the students due to long hours in front of the blue screen.


The primary grade children must not have this type of class because they have low concentration power, and these small kids do not have the ability to sit for a longer time in front of the blue screen.


No doubt there are lots of disadvantageous factors like there are no exams; students are being given marks by the internals. From the primary section, all the students declared pass without exam. This may impact their career in the future. These factors are going to be a foreshadow to the child's further life. I hope, the government will make good decisions on education with clear instructions as early as possible to avoid the situations that occurred by the Covid-19 pandemic.
